Youth Workers3 day CPD Seminar, EdinburghAndrew ran his Emotional Intelligence workshop with a group of our managers at the Scotch Whisky Experience earlier this year. Feedback from the team was hugely positive and we plan to run similar sessions with our wider team in the future.
The sessions are thought provoking and call on a lot of self-reflection providing us all with a greater awareness of our emotions and the impact they can have on other people, which we all agreed would be invaluable to us moving forward in our leadership roles.
The course was broken down into manageable sessions, full of interesting stories and anecdotes from Andrew to illustrate key messages. Many of the team, including myself, found the practical tools suggested to improve in each of the competencies to be particularly beneficial. The online resource is incredibly valuable and allows for much more in depth exploration of the topics in bite size modules which you can work through at your own pace.
The attendee feedback from the sessions confirmed to us how vitally important it is that we continue to offer this kind of training and support to our team.
